In order to live out its mission objectives and realize its vision, AEA set up a number of operational arms to meet various felt needs. AEA established ten Commissions, seven of which are currently fully operational. Under these Commissions are nine Projects, five are currently fully functional.
The Commissions currently functioning are the following:
AEA has Projects under the Commissions such as: Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST); Bangui Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (BEST); Christian Learning Materials Centre (CLMC); Africa Christian Television (ACT), based in Abidjan broadcasting programs in French; Accreditation Council for Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA).
The Council for Mission Training in Africa (COMITA) established in 2000 is a project under the AEA Evangelism and Missions Commission. Its main objective is to ensure adequate standardization of missionary training in African Missions training institutions. Just as Accrediting Council for Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA) provides standardization for theological training in Africa, COMITA is expected to do the same for missions training in the continent.
