NEGST Vision:

To Glorify God by Providing Excellence in African Christianity.

Our Challenge and Mission:

This great mission began as a dream. Godly African scholars, church leaders and their colleagues overseas, realized the urgent need for a world class theological institution, dedicated to equipping men and women to lead their African countries through change.

African realities like poverty, war, corruption, hunger, injustice, and HIV/AIDS are set against a futher reality-Africa has one of the fastes growing evangelical churches in the world. That growth has outpaced its capacity to provide trained leadership.

This is our challenge and our mission: To prepare men and women to reconcile these two faces of Africa by promoting excellence in African Christianity. A healthy, maturing church will make the difference in Africa; a healthy, maturing church needs godly leaders.

Today, NEGST is the realization of that dream and continues moving aggressively in its mission. Founded in 1983, NEGST provides an excellent level of evangelical, theological scholarship. Currently over 260 graduates have taken positions of strategic leadership in churches, organizations, an schools all over the continent. Twenty six countries, including a number from overseas have had students trained at NEGST. But many more leaders are urgently needed!
